Latest NewsOne of my students, Marilyn Bosworth was awarded "Highly Commended" in her Associate Latin American professsional examination in January 2007. Marilyn was awarded "Highly Commended" in her Associate Ballroom professional examination held in May 2007. The examiner was so impressed with her that she recommended her for a bursary (John Dilworth Award) with the IDTA to continue her professional training. Marilyn Bosworth WON this prestigeous award from the IDTA. There were 962 Associate candidates in 2007, and only 38 were nominated for the John Dilworth Scholarship Awards. Marilyn is currently training with me for her Licentiate Membership of the IDTA in Ballroom in 2010. I was training another student Jan Redhead for her professional Associate Latin American dance qualification. This request was particularly special because Jan learnt how to dance at the 'Majestic' many years ago and recognised the normal procedure to seek appropriate professional training and not assume that medal test certificates are sufficient along with some other obscure adult teaching qualification. I am due to submit my PhD in Spring 2010.
